Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Merius ("we") handles your information in our mobile applications ("the app"). The short version: we collect only what the app needs to work, we do not sell your data, and we do not show ads.
What we collect
- Account details. When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you provide it, your name. Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In are supported; when you use them we receive only the identifier and email those services share.
- Photos you upload. Features such as nail analysis, virtual try-on, and progress tracking work on photos you choose to upload. They are stored securely, linked to your account, so you can revisit your results.
- Usage counters. We record how many times you use metered features (for example, analyses and try-ons) to enforce plan allowances.
How we use your data
Your photos and results are used solely to provide the app's features — analysis, recommendations, care routines, and virtual try-on. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and the app contains no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
Third-party services
To generate results, your images are processed by AI services: analysis is powered by Anthropic Claude, and image generation by Google Gemini. Images are sent to these providers only to produce the result you requested; they operate under their own privacy policies. Subscriptions and payments are handled entirely by Apple — we never see your payment details.
Data storage and retention
Your data is stored on secure servers. Analysis history, saved designs, progress photos, and care routines are retained until you delete them individually or delete your account.
Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app. This permanently removes your data, including analyses, designs, photos, and care routines.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and the "last updated" date below.
